Sunday 18^th July at Coraki 8.00am start. This is a Special Day Sponsored by Steve McLean . Steve has provided a generous sponsorship so there will be great prizes.Steve has a Cleaning & Lawn Service in Coraki and he may be contacted on 6683 2435 or 0416082536 for any job you want done.

Our weekend at Gainsborough Greens is on again on the 22^nd & 23^rd August. We stay Saturday night at Coomera Motor Inn (opposite Dreamworld) & Golf is at Gainsborough 9.00am start on Sunday Cost is $85 for a double room at the Motel & $66 for the golf which includes share of a cart & lunch.I think it is planned to have a BBQ at the Motel Saturday night , this will be confirmed later. Please let Chris,Kevin or myself know if you are attending

RESULTS
Our last game was at Mullumbimby on 11th April.Twenty two players battled a very hot and humid Sunday morning. But this was nothing for some players who did not come off best in Captain Chris's infamous Steal A Putt competition.
Winners on the day were,(they probably stole the most putts) Lefties Men Kevin Copas 39pts R/u Chris Rose 38pts.Lefties Ladies New member Heather Chesham playing her first event with the lefties a very nice round of 38pts R/u Janine Martin 31pts.
Social Members Men Another recently new member Roger Pocock 35pts R/u Mark Stenning 34pts. Ladies winner was Pat Kelly 35pts with Chris Parker R/u 34pts.

March 2010 Results from Maclean

A good roll up up 22 players enjoyed the course which is in very good condition after recent rain.

Leftie Men Winner was Chris Rose with 37 points with Peter Bruggy and Kevin Copas on 30 . Leftie Ladies , Janine Martin with 31 and Jill Schipp with 26 .

Social Members Al Green 34 with Ash Martin on 33. Ladies Jan Lee 25 points with Pat Kelly , Robyn Robson and Donna Scurr with 25.

The mixed 4 ball was won by Ash Martin and Jill Schipp.

Next Event is at Mullumbimby on April 11th at 8.00 start. It would be good to see some our members from the northern end come and have a game ..

Some of our older members will remember Kevin Bourke from the ACT. Sadly Kevin passed away recently after a long illness and was the National Secretary for many years and was a tireless worker for the Association .

NEXT GAME
Our next event set down for 28th March at Maclean has been re-scheduled to Sunday 21st March at Maclean 8.00am start.Sorry for any inconvenience but the original date was not suitable for a number of our regular players and our numbers would have been very depleted. Please note their will be no carts for hire on the day.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The AGM was held at Coraki last Sunday Ten Leftie members attended It was disappointing that only one member from Yamba/Maclean area attended.
Unfortunately President Garry Ensbey did not stand for re-election due to family commitments.I would like to thank Garry for his efforts during 2009.
Congratulations to Kevin Copas for his election as President for 2010.

COMING EVENTS
Our next event will be at Coraki on 7th March @ 8.30am.This will be our Annual Meeting preceded by 9 Holes of golf. A BBQ lunch will follow.
Our first serious game of the year will be at Maclean on Sunday 28th March 8.00am start.

Our last event was our Christmas day at Coraki.An enjoyable day was had with some great scores returned.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS CANBERRA
Congratulations to Ron Bines , he was runner-up in the C Grade Nett at the Championships.Michael Bruggy also did well winning the C Grade Gross in the 4th round.

RESULTS Iluka 15th November.
Ron Bines brought his Canberra form with him winning the Lefties Mens event with a great 38pts.Barry Clark was R/U with 36pts.
Ladies Winner was Sue Fong Kee also with a very good score of 37pts.on a count back to Jill Schipp.
Social Club Men's winner and keeping it in the family was John Fong Kee with 31 pts on a count back to Alan Green.

NEXT EVENT
Due to a crowded Social calendar of some of our members our Xmas Event set down for the 13th December has been brought forward to the 6th December at Coraki 8.00 am. We will be having a BBQ Lunch and you may wear your Santa Suits if you like. Jan Lee has offered to bring a Salad any other contributions will be appreciated.

I would like to extend our best wishes to Dot Tatton who is going through a bad time health wise at the moment. Best of luck Dot, hope we see you back on your Scooter with the Lefties some time in the future.
